- Kurt Angle Promo: Angle hypes this Sunday's WWE No Mercy event when The Miz and The Miztourage interrupt. Miz is furious that this will be the second pay per view in a row that he won't be defending his title. Angle announces that it'll be Elias vs. Jason Jordan vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy tonight with the winner facing Miz at WWE No Mercy. Miz says Jordan doesn't deserve to be in it, there's other deserving stars like Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas that deserve it. Angle says he's sick of Miz's whining and hopes that fatherhood changes that. Miz calls Angle a deadbeat dad. Jason Jordan interrupts and threatens to knock Miz's teeth out and wants Axel and Dallas included in the match so Miz will stop making excuses. Angle makes the match official as Miz and Jordan have words which starts a brawl. Jordan clears The Miztourage from the ring to end the segment.

- Backstage, Jason Jordan tells Kurt Angle he's sick of The Miz and everyone else talking behind his back about Angle being his dad. Angle tells Jordan it won't stop so he needs to step up or go home and the best way to step up is to beat The Miz for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax: The match closes out with Alexa trying to leave, but Sasha Banks arrives and blocks her exit. Alexa takes control of Nia and attempts a cross body block. Nia catches Alexa, plants her with the Samoan Drop and scores the pinfall.

- Sitdown Interview With Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman: Paul Heyman guarantees that Braun Strowman will be dominated, victimized and conquered by Brock Lesnar. Strowman says he's confident that he can put Lesnar down and burn Suplex City. Heyman says Lesnar will take Strowman to Suplex City all night and beat Strowman within an inch of his life. Strowman says they can talk trash all they want, but come WWE No Mercy things won't change and Lesnar will be defeated. Lesnar finally speaks and thanks Strowman for challenging him. Lesnar says he's at his best when backed into a corner. Lesnar ends the segment with a "Suplex City Bitch" to Strowman.

- It's announced that Bayley has been added to the WWE RAW Women's Championship Match at WWE No Mercy, making it a Fatal Five Way Match now.

- Roman Reigns Promo: Reigns gives John Cena credit for being one of the best talkers, but sometimes he says stupid shit. Reigns says he's not the next Cena because he wouldn't have a career if he was. Reigns calls Cena the biggest hypocrite to ever step in a WWE ring. Reigns wants Cena to come out, but laughs because Cena isn't here tonight. Reigns promises that WWE No Mercy will be no different then the time the other Samoan The Rock beat Cena's ass at Wrestlemania. Reigns drops the microphone and leaves to end the segment.

- Backstage, The Hardy's are interviewed. The Hardy's don't care that they'll be fighting each other tonight in the Six Pack Challenge Match. Jeff wants another shot at The Miz. Matt says the best Hardy will win tonight.

Jason Jordan returns, stops Axel from making the pinfall, hits a neck breaker and scores the pinfall.
Winner: Jason Jordan, by pinfall, to become the new #1 Contender to the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

- After the match, Jordan and Miz meet face to face. Miz tries to hit Jordan, but Jordan ducks and unloads on Miz. Axel and Dallas attack and beat down Jordan. Miz pulls Jordan up and lays him out with a Skull Crushing Finale. Miz grabs a microphone and tells Jordan that after WWE No Mercy, Miz will still be the champion, Kurt Angle will still be a terrible dad and Jordan will still be a bastard.
